What we build in Tampa

Turf and pavers for Tampa yards

From Seminole Heights to New Tampa, a lot of Tampa yards fight the same things: oaks that shade out the grass, sandy soil that dries out fast, and a watering schedule that only allows one day a week. Turf takes watering and mowing off the list. We measure every area on site, price it line by line, and pull the city permit for you when your project needs one.

  • Lawn turf

Lawn turf chosen for how you use your front and back yards.

  • Pet turf

Pet turf with a fully permeable backing for dog runs and side yards.

  • Putting greens

Contoured backyard greens with cups, pins and flags.

  • Pavers & pool decks

Pool decks, patios, walkways and driveways, often paired with turf.

Good to know

Local rules for turf in Tampa

Rules change, so we check them again for your address before we start. Here is what applies in Tampa as of October 2026.

Permits
Inside Tampa city limits, synthetic turf goes through a city permit: a site plan showing lot coverage and trees within 20 feet, plan review, and one final inspection. Turf is not allowed in the right-of-way, public easements, swales, ditches or stormwater ponds, and infill must be clean silica sand or zeolite, not rubber. A Notice of Commencement is needed when the job is over $5,000. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection for you, and the infill we use inside city limits meets the city’s rule.Source: City of Tampa Synthetic Turf Permitting Packet, 2026
Watering
City of Tampa water customers are limited to one watering day a week year-round, during the current drought only between midnight and 4 AM or 8 PM and midnight.Source: City of Tampa Water Department, 2026
Trees
The City of Tampa requires tree protection zones around protected trees, and the city forester may review installs near tree roots. We plan the layout around your trees before anything is priced.Source: City of Tampa, Artificial Turf and Tree Protection per Chapter 27
HOAs
Florida law (Section 720.3045, Florida Statutes) says an HOA may not restrict artificial turf on a part of your lot that is not visible from the frontage, a neighboring lot, a common area or a community golf course. Front yards and other visible areas can still need approval.Source: Florida Statutes, Section 720.3045
